Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens hosted its 8th Annual Kids Fun Day in Astoria, Queens, on Friday, August 5th. Held in block-party fashion, attendees enjoyed music and dancing, arts and crafts, a bounce house, and much more! They also received free giveaways and healthy snacks. Approximately 800 backpacks with reading books and other school supplies were distributed. Catholic Charities also provided information on our programs and resources, such as our ESL program, STEP Up program, behavioral health services, W.I.C. Program and early childhood programs. In addition, over 40 vendors provided more health and community services and information, including dental screenings.
