Advocacy Day at Queens Borough Hall

The DellaMonica Older Adult Center, Hillcrest Older Adult Center, and Howard Beach Older Adult Center proudly represented Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens/Catholic Charities Neighborhood Services at the Live On Advocacy event held at Queens Borough Hall.

In a powerful display of solidarity, attendees and staff from these centers, along with dozens of other senior organizations from across the borough, gathered to voice their concerns about proposed budget cuts to senior services. Queens Borough President Donovan Richards was also in attendance, lending his support to the cause. The event aimed to raise awareness about the negative impact these cuts would have on older New Yorkers and to advocate for increased funding for essential programs and services that are vital for the well-being and quality of life of seniors in the community.

Together, they called for continued support and additional resources to ensure that older adults receive the care and services they need to thrive.
