CCBQ’s Community Program Services Relatives as Parents Program (R.A.P.P.) participants recently took a trip down memory lane. Held at the Ocean Bay Apartments in Brooklyn, members played their favorite childhood games, shared their best memories and discussed self-care methods to ease the pressures of being a caregiver. The group also enjoyed a visit from children’s author Rolanda Pyle. Our guest speaker, author of Grandma’s Hands spoke about being raised by her grandmother, resonating with many of our members who were also raised by their grandparents. Everyone left with a smile and an autographed book.
