CCBQ partnered with the New York City Campaign Finance Board and others to host National Voters Registration Day at Columbus Park on Tuesday, Sept. 23. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Our Parish & Community staff and volunteers successfully registered nearly 75 people with many more who took registration forms home. CCBQ Community Project Director Patrick Callaghan spoke at the event along with representatives from all partnering agencies, including Ama Dwimoh, Special Counsel to the Brooklyn Borough President. Community Project Director Sheldon Peters provided music and entertainment. Partners included CCBQ, NYCCFB, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Delta Rho Omega Chapter, NYC Department of Parks and Recreation, NAACP – Brooklyn Chapter and the New York Organ Donor Network.
