Governor Andrew Cuomo’s Nourish NY Initiative is a lifeline for our families and farmers who have been struggling with changes brought on by COVID-19. This critical program helps individuals who are food insecure access the nourishment they need, while providing a market for farmers to sell their products. CCBQ is grateful to be a recipient of this incredible grant.
Over the course of three weeks, CCBQ has provided 54,000 lbs of fresh New York State grown produce from Satur Farms LLC and 720 prepared meals (using all New York State grown products) from Red Rabbit, LLC to our food pantry guests. This has been a welcomed addition to the food that our pantries were already supplying.
