On Oct. 18, Catholic Charities Brooklyn Community Center hosted its third Annual Fall Festival at the Riverdale Osborne Apartment Towers in Brownsville, Brooklyn
Approximately 300 Tower residents received fresh produce, giveaways, and healthy snacks and participated in activities including pumpkin painting, jewelry making and face painting.
Many CCBQ programs and outside agencies participated in the festival, including: Catholic Charities Brooklyn Community Center, Catholic Charities Human Resources Department, Catholic Charities Operation FUN, Catholic Charities Fatherhood Program, Catholic Charities Riverway Senior Center, Catholic Charities Flatlands Guidance Center, Fidelis Care of NY, Brooklyn Public Library, Ready NY, NYC Department of Consumer Affairs, Cornell University Cooperative Extension, Fresh Air Fund, CAMBA, and Lions International – Canarsie.
Raffle prizes were provided by NYPD 73rd Precinct, Lions International, Cookies Department Store and Armstrong Furniture. Additionally, participants of the event received a surprise visit by Brooklyn Borough President Eric L. Adams.
