CCBQ’s Earth Day celebrations continued at St. Benedict the Moor Church in Jamaica, Queens. CCBQ’s Community Program Services helped spread awareness on recycling, reusing and reducing waste. Activities included arts and crafts with recycled materials, “fishing” to teach marine life, dental screenings conducted by Healthplex, Inc., giveaways, games and resources by Fidelis Care, Empire BlueCross BlueShield and NYC Department of Public Safety: Vision Zero. Upon completion of each activity station, children were gifted a Certificate of Completion and a $25 TD Bank gift card. Families also received fresh produce, books and toys.
