To help children in need, and for his Eagle Scout project at Troop 139, Life Scout Joseph Murgida conducted a book drive at St. Helen’s Church in Howard Beach, Queens, and collected a total of 1,326 books! Joseph donated all of the books to Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens. We are so grateful to Joseph and Troop 139.
The books will be distributed at Catholic Charities Kids Fun Day at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Astoria on Friday, August 7th.
