Our Queens Community Center held a huge Earth Day celebration on April 24 with nearly 100 children and families. The event included many arts and crafts and snack stations, and it was a way to come together and learn about the environment and our planet.
Children learned about the importance of bees, viewed real honeycombs donated by Queens Farm, and tasted pure honey. Other stations included a lady bug station with live lady bugs for the children to take home, a recycling station, and a fishing station which allowed kids to fish and learn about water pollution.
