ICYMI: Seniors from the Catholic Charities Seaside Senior Center in Rockaway, Queens recently celebrated Veterans Day with a special celebration to commemorate its distinguished war veterans. The ceremony began with a rendition of the National Anthem and a parade of nine veterans proudly holding the American flag. Following a rousing rendition of the National Anthem was an emotional Pledge of Allegiance. The event concluded with each veteran speaking about their war experience, rank and years spent in service. Seniors also enjoyed a delicious Veterans Day cake.
