Since Hurricane Sandy hit over five months ago, we have been hard at work to help those families whose homes and businesses were destroyed all over Brooklyn and Queens. We’ve been on the scene everyday since: distributing goods and helping our neighbors struggling with housing, relocation, employment, insurance, FEMA, and much more. In all, over one thousand volunteers gave 35,000 hours of their time to help their neighbors in need – and together, we reached over thousands of Brooklyn and Queens residents affected by the storm.
