CCBQ’s Community Programming Services recently held Pajama Storytime at the Ocean Bay Apartments in Bayside, Queens. Together families read Eating the Alphabet by Lois Ehlert, a book with a robust vocabulary of different fruits and vegetables, aimed to grow children’s word base. Coloring games were also played to challenge letter to word and letter to shape combinations. To conclude the workshop, families received a copy of the book and $25 gift cards from Target and TD Bank. This workshop is funded in part by the Maternity & Early Childhood Foundation.
