The Saints Joachim & Anne Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, an affiliate of Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens, recently celebrated their Feast Day. Located in Coney Island, this annual event celebrates the Saints who are the namesake of this award-winning center. The residents and their families had a packed day, which began with the celebration of a Mass officiated by Msgr. Alfred LoPinto, President and Chief Executive Officer, Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens. Additional festivities included a cocktail hour, classical music performance, and an outdoor picnic where guests took in the sun, played carnival games. For many residents, the Feast Day activities were a way to bring the Coney Island Boardwalk and its charm to them.
