Did you know that every year on September 15th, families of the Chinese and Vietnamese cultures gather together to celebrate the Mooncake Festival? This day marks the end of the autumn harvest and is traditionally a time to give thanks to the gods. Members of the Catholic Charities Narrows Senior Center in Brooklyn celebrated the special day with music, dancing and a beautiful musical performance by our very own talented group of seniors honoring the tradition of admiring the moon while indulging in delicious mooncakes.
