ESOL Queens

(DYCD and Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens Funded)

 

Our ESOL Program provides free literacy programming to adult English Learners to improve their listening, speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension skills in English. The vision of the program is to help participants meet their communication, academic, work, health and/or other contextualized literacy goals in order to thrive in their communities. Students receive social services and legal referral information about U.S. citizenship and other immigration services. In conjunction with our English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) workshops, we teach healthy living and provide available healthcare resources to improve quality of life.

 

Classes are held at three locations:

St Pius Jamaica (DYCD)

Our Lady of Sorrows in Corona (Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens)

Woodside ESL Office (Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens)
