Thanksgiving at Pete McGuinness Older Adult Center

This Thanksgiving, the Pete McGuinness Older Adult Center hosted 140 seniors for a warm and joyful holiday lunch. The event was a true celebration of community and gratitude, bringing together seniors and volunteers in the spirit of the holiday season.

During the event, Father Bant from St. Anthony’s Parish and Father Sławomir from St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish added blessings to this special occasion.

One of the highlights was an amazing surprise in the form of homemade sweets, generously prepared by the Polish School Henryk Sienkiewicz. The delicious desserts, baked with love by the students and their families, were a special treat that added charm to the entire event.

There was also a great exhibition of pumpkins created by seniors using various materials.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to the success of this event, especially the students, families, and staff who worked together to ensure our seniors felt appreciated and cared for. Events like these remind us of the power of kindness and the joy that comes from celebrating together.
